Everytime you start a new employee, you have to use a Form I-9 to verify their identity and eligibility to work in the USA. But what do you when the form is “expired” and a newer version can’t be found?
Well, even though the current Form I-9 expired on August 31, 2019, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is instructing employers to continue using it until an updated version is published by the department.
We will provide updated information about the new version of the Form I-9 as it becomes available.
Employers must complete Form I-9 for all newly-hired employees to verify their identity and authorization to work in the United States.
